Academic Center. The Seminary's main building was designated unusable due to new fire codes. In 1967, the new Academic Center building was completed as a new space for instructional and public use. This building was renamed the Larrance Academic Center in 1982 honoring Kenneth and Leona Larrance, important donors in the life of the College. Mr. Larrance, who was elected to the Board of Trustees in 1972, served as the chairman of the Board and in this role, was very active in the fundraising program enabling the College's purchase of the former Seminary properties.
